Ernest Percival Henshaw (1870-1950): Elected 1904
Born: 4 September 1870, Geelong, Victoria
Career: Apprenticed as a carpenter, emigrated to Western Australia in 1894.
Active in the labour movement, elected to the WA Legislative Assembly seat of Collie in 1904.
Defeated in 1905, held various Labor Party positions, and contested the federal seat of Perth in 1910.
Foreman carpenter for Henderson Naval Base during WWI, later a building surveyor.
Helped form the Institute of Quantity Surveyors in the late 1930s. Rejoined the Labor Party in 1947.
Died: 11 June 1950, Subiaco.
