John Hurley (1796-1882): Elected 1859
Born: Limerick, Ireland
Career: Transported for insurrection, worked as a superintendent at Lake George, freed in 1830, and became an innkeeper in Campbelltown in 1832. Held pastoral leases and bred horses, including significant runs at Houlahan's Creek and Cootamundra. Elected to the Legislative Assembly for Narellan (1859-60, 1864-69, 1874-80)
